Ingredients
- 300g Greek yogurt (plain, no added flavors)
- 150g cucumber
- 6 cloves of fresh garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the Yogurt : Place the Greek yogurt in a bowl. I recommend Yorgus brand, as it is thick, fat-free, and has an incredible texture and flavor.
- Prepare the Cucumber : Peel the cucumber and grate it as thinly as possible. Squeeze the grated cucumber with your hands to remove as much moisture as possible and add it to the yogurt.
- Prepare the Garlic : Use a garlic press to crush the garlic cloves. The finer the garlic, the more flavor it will provide. Add the crushed garlic to the bowl with the yogurt and cucumber.
- Add the Seasonings : Add the salt, pepper and olive oil to the mixture.
- Mix : Mix all the ingredients well until you get a homogeneous consistency.
Now you have a delicious and healthy addition to your meats, perfect as a substitute for mayonnaise. This tzatziki is a light and nutritious option that will add flavor to your meals without compromising your diet.
